Cant see a problem using a cushion provided there is only one point of contact forward of the wrist

At this stage, nobody knows what guns have been used, before the round was shot.

All will be revealed when round 1 has been posted.

A cushion is fine, as long as the points of contact, as per the rules, are adhered to.

Kind regards,

Phil

Hi, Newbie here but Oldie with plinking n target pistol shooting.

I would very much like to take part in this contest.

Trying to chose which of my venerable guns to use.

The rest is going to be a homemade affair, though.

I am sure you'll find something suitable.

Try Pound Stretcher, or similar, something will catch your eye.

I do like my MTM front rifle rest.

I also used it for the UBC benchrest to good effect.

Kind regards,

Im not finding this easy...Benchresting a springer seems so alien, and Im spraying pellets everywhere. I'll have a go up the club on wednesday. :D

I personally use a bean bag cradles it lightly, and not being a hard surface it does'nt jump like a bitch on heat, M. :)

At the moment I'm using a large carwashing sponge taped to the top of a small tripod, but it is a bit hard. I might see if I can get one of those beanbags you find in camera shops to support big telephoto lenses.

Still getting scores worse than hand held!

Think I have decided on the gun, though.

Will be interesting to see how the guns perform, once the results are in.

I tried the car-wash sponge on top of a pistol rest today. Lightly resting the pistol grip on the sponge, the results were a huge improvement over just resting on the hard rubber with a springer. Was so happy with the improvement..I submitted it as this month's entry.

3 scores received to date, with only one week left to go.

An ideal excuse, over the Christmas period, to disappear into the garage for a while!

Last couple of days before the first round ends.

Not been the most inspiring of weather I know.
