Ten Metre email Pistol Comp

As per the title really. Would anyone be interested in a ten metre pistol competition? What I propose is a six month season with all of the scores counting towards the total. There would be no mean numbers or averages. Every shot would count and if you missed a month it would be hard luck.
Thoughts anyone?

Sounds like a good idea, and should be easily achievable if each round were to be open for the entire month, rather than a tight window.

Kind regards,

Phil

Well, after speaking with most of you this is "sort of" the format, which is always open to discussion prior to etching it in tablets of stone:

The competition would be an Honour system. Any "ambitious" interpretations and you are only fooling yourself.
There would be a month in which to shoot the cards but the cutoff date is the cutoff date. This gives everyone a chance to find a couple of hours in a thirty day period when they can shoot.
Five shots per target.
Six targets? or Four?
Any further suggestions gratefully received.

After some discussion at club, last night, it steely that such competitions would be best shot on official targets, rather that A4 print outs, that do not result in a crisp hole, which can make scoring difficulty.

Ruag do ISSF targets, and Bisley are freely available online  (Ramsbottoms or Uttings stock the Bisley).

Our club buys large quantities from Ruag, so we may be able to post out quantities.

I'll check with Bob (zooma) and verify the possibility and costs.

Shooters will, of course, be free to source their own.

If somebody knows of an alternative type of such targets, then feel free to scan a sample for approval.

Kind regards,

Phil

Would the 'official target' be the Air4/89? If so the price is usually about 5p each from NSRA affiliated clubs.
