Seemed like a good one so I bought it - been using it for a week and all seems fine but I'm not as good with this yet as I am with my Alecto - perhaps the hold I'm using or exhaustion setting in reloading it. I will be pulling it down cleaning and resealing it in the next couple of weeks so I know it's all ok.
It's over 350g heavier than the Alecto and I can feel it after a good session.

The Originals are certainly weighty compared to their modern counterparts.

I couldn't do a full competition round with either the 6 of the 10 and maintain any form of accuracy.

Kind regards,

Phil

I cannot use maintain and accuracy in the same sentence at the moment. The first time I put 100 pellets through the 6m in one session I was in pain at the end, tonight I did it and it was not so bad so things are getting better slowly and things are improving. I will have a look at a compact, FAS604 and HW40 to see what they are like and of course a PCP, but I'm committed to trying to improve using a springer. It's a good work out for my muscles and my brain, and it is real fun with a tinge of total frustration and bemusment at times. My new to me fwb65 should arrive tomorrow so I will put that into the mix, it has had a service and a new mainspring so I will see how that goes. I love metal mechanical thingies and the more off beat and specialised they are the better.
