Walther LP53

Post by cliffyd » Mon Jul 27, 2015 10:29 am

I have a Walther LP53 which I believe is from the 70's. How can I find out the actual year of manufacture? I am considering selling at the moment and would appreciate any of you expert advice on value, and where I should go. it comes with original box, not perfect, instruction manual the additional sights, cleaning rod and wooden device used for cocking. It is in perfect working order. a little bit of the blue has gone from the end of the barrel where the wood has rubbed against it. I do have other pictures available.

Many Thanks in advance

Your LP53 bears the S/N 104756, and thus, according to information provided by Walther, your gun was likely produced in mid-1970.
A quote from the Walther document:
"102029 - Jan 1970 ............. 107046 - Dez 1970"

Many Thanks for the response I remember shooting it when I was around 12 in 1972 so that confirms it.
