Some say the .22 78 is better because it was based on S&Ws .22 target pistol and they knew how to make .22 barrels better than .177.
Good story but I have both and it isn't true.
I prefer the 78 but only because I am a .22 man like Ian.

I have owned both

I found the Mk1 had a more comfortable grip and could get better grouping with it but the 78 was more fun to shoot. Not that there was much in it - they are both accurate pistols.

It would be the 78 every time for me.

Thanks for the advice Ian

I am now the proud owner of this very gun, complete with yellow duster, having just acquired it off Graham who after a few weeks of ownership decided he prefers 177.
It feels much better in my hand than the EB22 which you sent me last week so I think that may be back for sale soon.

Ariived about 30 mins ago so just fired a few test shots and I love it

I seem to be making a habit of acquiring your exs, one of which is currently for sale on the BBS a CP88 PPC1500, as I have too many of the 8 shot umarex pistols and need to clear some space in the safe

It seems to me that there are about eight of us who all own desirable guns that we are constantly selling to each other for whatever reason.
I propose - in order to save the monetory hassle - that we just form a "Loan Union" and we circulate the guns on a regular basis.
That could work.
graham.
I’m going off to go find myself. If I’m not back by the time I return, keep me here.
