This one shoots much better but only because of the internal modifications similar to the work carried on a top air rifle tune up....Purpose machined Delrin guide rod inside a special mainspring which slips over the existing guide in the grip . with nice running fits...piston slip washer and a special piston head.
Approx 1/4 the group size from the none exsistant vibration, reduced noise and improved single figure consistancy over the stock leather washer from the new head (Leather washers often running 25 fps plus deviation in 53s)
1/2" gps do-able at 10mtrs and 505 fps from Falcons or Finale.

The barrel shortening does reduce the sight base by 1.5 inches which possibly impacts some of the new potential accuracy but it handles much nicer and i find i can control the upward recoil marginally better which offsets the slight loss in sight base.
I am in the middle of doing the same tune to a blokes stocker full length version ....so will report on how the full length compares to this one.
Its by far and away the best air pistol ive ever done....out shooting and outlooking any HW45 .....no pumping or Co2 bulbs to worry about and a good 100 fps more velocity than any HW40 derivatives.
Ok a 46m can just about get close in power terms at about 480 fps when running right but comparing the looks and handling just plain daft.
