end cap removal
after taking out the grub screw and putting it in a box so it cant be lost i used i piece of doubled over towel and mole grips to undo the end cap . using the broken barrel as a lever . once its undone by a couple of turns wrap the end cap in towel and unscrew fully. when it lets go its not too compressed , about 2 to 3 ins of preload. it should be ok to put back together if your fairly strong. i think a rubber oil filter tool would be ideal for the initial few turns but dont have one. or clamped in wood in a vice. hope this is of help. cheers peter griffin

mod 5 177
ok guys .all back together with new piston seal . fitted easily over a mastic nozzle cut to size and pop straight on . does anyone know what sort of power i should expect from this gun now? i have fired it a few times and seems quite fast. need a chrono to see what im getting realy. atb
I'd say 3 to 3.5 ftlbs at the most.
If you could get a nice even 450 fps you should be doing ok.
Kind regards,
Phil
