Bears a passing resemblance to the 3rd series, but is definitely not a Titan as none of the variants of this pistol used the overlever cocking method. I will need to dig into my reference sources tomorrow and get back if I can come up with something.

Hello,

As promised, Iv'e just looked through "The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols" by John Griffiths which is considered the bible relating to spring powered air pistols and could not find an absolutely identical example, but did come up with something close.

The pistol is definitely foreign (probably east European) bearing the closest resemblance to a pistol made in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. The pistol is logged as the "NOMA" and appears to be the only Webley copy that also uses the barrel retaining latch present on the Webley. The pistol in the book looks to be slightly larger with a less rounded trigger guard but otherwise looks very similar. The book notes the name "NOMA" should be present on the left hand side of the barrel housing inside a circle. There should also be a four digit Ser No stamped on the left hand side of the trigger guard. These markings may be difficult to distinguish due to wear etc, so a magnifying glass may be of help. Whatever its history, the pistol would appear to be very seldom seen in this country as the possibility of patent infringements would have made it difficult to import.

Regards

Brian
