Good picture.
Glad to hear you are taming the rifle and adjusting it to your requirements.
They are certainly one to have a go with.
Kind regards,
Phil

"IZZIE" Update.
Since i started using the rifle i have made a number of changes to it
the brass barrel weight has been replaced by the steel one from my Walther which is not needed on the Walther, this allows me to refit the
diopter sights which i prefered, i have also made adjustments to the
trigger & sights. Over time my practice has continued & since the changes
made allowed me to refit the diopter sights, i have made some significant
improvements in my scoring now well up with club averages . Whilst
this has worked for me its simply the case that this rifle has been adapted to suit my disabilities & may not work for all, i have also changed my hold in order to achieve the improvements. I will do some update pics this weekend this will show the original peepsight fitted, which i replaced with a fwb diopter rearsight as the peepsight is very fiddly to adjust the windage on, M.

Out of interest, can this rifle be operated single shot?

Yes the rifle has a 5 shot clip, & since bell target is shot in 6 shot strings i always have to put one pellet in the clip to finish the string off, & you could if you wish do this for every shot just keep loading the first hole in the clip. "IZZIE" Update/changes
Three more izzie pics to show the changes, pics show original peepsight, i don't use it to fiddly for windage i use a diopter much better, the peepsight works, but is a bit crude, then of course the whole gun is under £100 new,M.

Interesting back sight, reminds me of the variation that BSA used to put out with their rifles.
I once tried my Meteor with something similar to quite good effect, but soon added a scope.
I should start to target rifle.
Interesting that their aren't many IZH60s around, as some clubs do scoff at multi shot guns.
Kind regards,
Phil

Sounds like you are taming it nicely.
I found an easier way of cocking the LGR last night, which takes a lot of stain out of shooting it.
I think I have also converted Graham.
Managed quite a few rings in a row without much effort. A very accurate and consistent rifle.

Phil

Yes i to love my LGR, and i'm glad you found the knack of cocking it easily, mines a keeper, but so is the "izzie" i have a much bigger grin when i "ding" with the izh61 especially when the bloke next to me misses with is 601 , M.pmh:2541 wrote:Sounds like you are taming it nicely.

I do need to take the 6G with me next time to see if I can ring the bell with it.
Not sure how I'll get on though!
I managed to pick up an original set of Walther sights, so the go is now original spec.
Currently running with a 3.4mm pink perspex front element, though I am considering giving the 3.6mm a go.

Phil

Over a period of time I have continued to tweak & evolve this little rifle into a bell target rifle to suit my medical & age issues of course it does not look as nice as a classic springer, but it does the job very well its low powered, low recoil, and has an excellent adjustable trigger (sadly later versions do not have the adjustable trigger) the pic shows it with all it weights (was to light even for me), and also with the dioptre sights fitted. In the right hands (often not mine) or bench rested it will produce superb one hole groups. The next project is to complete the 78 Btr which is to replace the Walther Lgr which became to heavy. Gawd then its sorting out some new optics my sight has dropped a notch or two I believe, M.

Re: "IZZIE" Update.
Whilst the 78 has become my main Bt rifle I still shoot & enjoy this "Izzie", and continue to be happy with its performance, however I think the rear dioptre sight looks a little bulky on this rifle, I would like to change it for something like a Williams peep sight, but std rail versions are pretty rare, and can be rather pricey , or has anyone got other suggestions please!!, atb, M.zunmik wrote:zunmik wrote:Since i started using the rifle i have made a number of changes to it
