Hello,
I have a small collection of pre WW1 BSA Improved Mod D air rifles but needed one to shoot regularly with my failing eye sight. I picked up and modified this 1912 example which was in good crisp condition but a bit light on original finish. I fitted a BSA No 8 aperture sight fitted with 6 hole eyepiece and Parker Hale FS22 foresight tube so that I could vary the elements. The No 8 sight was available as an option when the rifle was made and fits easily on the straight hand stock but needs some stock modification on the pistol grip rifle. I also removed the original rear sight to obtain an uninterrupted sight picture.
The rifle now gets used on a regular basis and allows me to continue to shoot quite accurately without the need for optical sights.
Regards
Brian
