I have a well maintained good condition Webley Mark III which I am seeking a valuation for images below. Perhaps someone with some insight could assist me. It fires very well. Just tried it.

What I assume is the serial number

Owned by me since new. Purchased in the late 70s I guess.

Hello Nick,

The Webley Mk3 along with the BSA Mk1 Airsporter were among the most sought after air rifles when I was young and usually broke. I now have quite a collection of air guns from my youth and some even earlier dating to before WW1 (>100 yrs old). I still try to shoot all my collection on a rotational basis and have found that even the antique examples still shoot as well as they did when new. Fortunately, spares are still available for early Webley & BSA air rifles & pistols so that we can continue to keep them running rather locked away.

Your rifle is a fairly common model dating as you rightly say from the 1970s and should in my opinion be worth in the region of £150 - £180.

Regards

Brian

Nick Hi from bellringer. I would agree a price of around £175 would be a good starting point, as ever boxes, instruction manuals, etc. all add to a guns value. I noticed that the plastic name disc may have lost its 'screening'; if you want a new genuine Webley disc to replace it, I have some and will sell one at £5 inc postage let me know if you are interested, [a worn or blank disc often lowers the value]. On a slightly more geeky note; your MKIII was made mid-week of week ending 22-02-1975 there were 90 made that week and yours is in ' lot 6 ' so Wednesday / Thursday is a good bet and the bench hand who made it was 'Jack'. Hope this adds to the knowledge you already have of it and that it is of some interest. Best Regards bellringer {Ray} :geek:
