Supported Pistol

Post by bellringer » Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:05 pm

This is a fairly new discipline, apparently taking Europe by storm. There are three levels of support available according to age, but the idea is to keep older people shooting for longer; the lowest category is actually not for ''too old'' a level of competitor. Check it out, it is very good. There is a variation of this sport on the MPL competition run via BBS. Basically the underside of the pistol is rested on a round bar simply to take the weight of the pistol and it is more difficult than you might think. Have a look, you may find a new interest or re kindle an old one that you thought you could no longer compete in. There is also the same type of competition for rifle shooting also, which has a small similarity to a type of bench rest shooting, but this is different. Just have a look, you never know it might just keep you shooting and that has to be the best thing ever.

Certainly a good idea, as there are a number of NMTC members who are finding pistol shooting more and more difficult, with a couple giving up.

Kind regards,
