I've heard of these, but never seen them.

Are they loaded like the Dan Wesson's or are they like a BB shot shell?

Just a tube with birdshot in it.This packet has never been opened.

I once had a go at something similar.

Unfortunately, I only had .177 guns at the time.

I used to weight the shoot out to the weight of a pellet, then packed them into a cigarette paper rolled to calibre.

Would have worked better in .22 or, even better, .25
