Found these whilst flicking through a "vintage pellet" search on eBay:-

Not sure whether they are re-usueable, or for which guns they were marketed.

Being marked for indoor use, I can't think they are a practice pellet, as the POI, or flight characteristics, would not match ones chosen competition pellets.

Kind regards,

Phil

Strange

Years ago I tried some plastic pellets with a metal tip that were being sold for use with Umarex pistols - cant recall the name - they were yellow. Horrible things - the barrel rifling sliced through the plastic and a load of fine 'threads' of said plastic - like mini streamers - would come out of the end of the barrel.

I remember the Prometheus steel tipped plastic pellets.

I still have an original box somewhere, along with some Sussex Sabo.

Kind regards,

A fly by night invention.

Why try to re-invent that which has been working so well for so long.

Kind regards,

Phil

I bought some last year. Horrible things. Being steel, they dont collapse when used with a metal pellet-catcher..... fly straight back out!  So an alternative pellet-catcher/backstop is required with these.

I once bought a packet of "Zaps": "plastic plinking pellets".
What was I thinking?  A sawn off shotgun would have grouped better!

Byt due to the ridiculously high velocity and negligible momentum, they had quite "interesting" terminal ballistic effects on potatoes and other fruit and veg!

In my teens I bought all sorts of bits n bats to improve the performance of my cheap airguns.

Prometheus and Sussex Sabot to name but a few.

Of course, these offerings of sorcery never did anything to improve things.

Didn't ever see plastic pellets though, but I do remember Ballistic Darts from Sussex Armoury.

Kind regards,

Phil

Now that is something that I have never seen before.
Perhaps for a child's toy type of "airgun" with some sort of shooting game?

I've tried most all of the "gimmick" pellets over the years, and few have ever lived up to the hype. Pretty hard to beat the good old round nose diabolo made of lead.
