RWS Meisterkugeln

The RWS Meisterkugeln was THE pellet to use in the early years of target air pistol shooting, and very few of us used anything else.

.............why would we when this pellet was being used to set all the national and world records of the day?

This superb pellet is the obvious choice to use in your Classic target air pistols that come from the same era.

I would encourage all Classic target air pistol shooters to get hold of a tin and relive that great time period when practice and determination was more important than the depth of your pockets.

Shooting a Clasic target air pistol with modern pellets is like driving a Ferrari on paraffin - what's the point?

Complete the experience and shoot a Classic target air pistol with a Classic target pellet - RWS Meisterkugeln.

I'll have to take a tin off you Bob, so I can compare them with the RWS R10.

On close inspection, I couldn't tell the difference, so it'll be down to group sizes and the chrono.

Kind regards,

Phil

A good observation indeed - especially when R10 now have a suggested retail price in excess of £8 a tin.

RWS Meisterkugeln cost just £6 a tin and shoot every bit as well in Classic match air pistols.

My jury is still out as which is the better pellet, the 7.0 grain "pistol" pellet or the 8.2 grain "rifle" pellet.

A few posts on the ABBS have suggested better consistency witht eh .2 grain in pistols.

Kind regards,

Phil

Try them in a Weihrauch or a Feinwerkbau, and you'll be fine!  :D

I could only find one phonetic break down, and I am not too sure of the credibility of that!

I have 4.50 Meisterkugeln in Pistol and Rifle variants - why not try them both for yourself?

Master Balls...according to google translate.

I have found these to be great pellets in a lot of target pistols.

I had a good look at one, the other day, and could find no difference from the R10.

I think a grouping and chrono test is the answer, but I don't think there'll be much difference.

Kind regards,

Phil

I need to remember to ask Bob to bring some along.

Like the R10 they come in rifle and pistol weights.

The closest I can think of to spell it phonetically is my-ster-queue-gelln

With the stress on the parts in italics.

It means Master (or Champion) Pellets. :)
Kugel can mean ball, sphere, slug, pellet, marble, shot, bullet.

I didn't know they still made them actually.
