Hello

As part of a deal to acquire a pre war Webley Valvespout Oil Can I picked up this nice little orange .22 pellet tin made to contain just 250 .22 pellets instead of the usual 500 contained in the larger tin. This tin is the same size as the green .177 tin containing 500 pellets but a great deal harder to find.

On my list, along with the powder blue one.

Unfortunately, these are commanding quite high prices.

Kind regards,

Phil

Hi Phil,

I'm still looking for the small 1970s round orange sectored tin which strangely contained 200 .177 pellets. Why Webley changed the traditional colour convention for this particular product is a mystery. I have seen photos of the tin but have yet to see one in the flesh. Still, it's nice to have something unusual to watch out for.

Regards

Brian

Probably the same reason as Walkers putting cheese and onion in a blue packet!

Out of interest, do you have any spare or swaps?

Kind regards,

Phil

Hi Phil,

Iv'e only fairly recently started collecting pellet tins and accessories in an attempt to give my wallet a bit of a rest from collecting air guns. This has not always turned out to be the case as many accessories, boxes etc turn out to be more expensive than the guns themselves. Consequently, I need to keep the tins I currently have but will be looking to find better examples and will maybe then have some to move on.
