Marking on Webley Tempest...........
Hello, I'm a newbie who received a Webley Tempest Centennial in .177 as a Christmas present. Having been out of pistol shooting for many years I was pleased with the build quality of these Turkish made pistols and I am grouping quite well at 6 meters.
My question to the group is, what does the letter 'F' within a pentagon marking represent on the muzzle just behind the foresight?

Re: Marking on Webley Tempest...........
Its an EU symbol that indicated that the power output is within legal limits I believe - which in theory makes transfer of this type of firearm between EU states easier. In theory that is!wmp50075:1523 wrote:Hello, I'm a newbie who received a Webley Tempest Centennial in .177 as a Christmas present. Not looked into this for a long time, but I did think it was started in Germany as a mark to show that all airguns carrying the mark were within their energy requirements.
Kind regards,
