I don't know how to post photos; hopefully, this link works.

The boxes are not pristine, but I paid very little for them. Does anyone know the approximate time frame the Webley box dates from?

I see the link is not working. Does anyone have instructions on how to post photos?

I have pulled-out what little hair I have left, but will try again. Computers frustrate me to no end.

Re: Lightning, Webley and Champion Pellet Boxes
Hi gab,
Photo link works OK.
As I'm sure you are aware the Webley package is very rare and certainly pre-war as it refers to suitability for
AIR PISTOLS & AIR RIFLE. Webley only ever had the MK1 or Mk2 Air Rifle on sale at any one during this period. I believe the packets of 500 were introduced in about 1925 so your packet would definitely date between 1925-1939 (probably late 20s). Although a few paper packets were produced post-war they were soon replaced with round or oblong tins.
If you open a picture in Photobucket and click on "IMG" in the "Links to share this photo" box" which starts with "URL" at bottom right of the picture, this will automatically copy the link so that the picture can be pasted directly into a post. The picture will then appear in the post without the need to click on the Photobucket link to view from the host.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Brian
