Another Tempest

A place to discuss all things Webley. As this is probably the most collected airgun maker we felt it deserved a section of its own.

Another Tempest

Post by Certus » Mon Jan 13, 2014 1:08 pm

Hello,

I recently added this .22 Cal Tempest to my growing collection of these pistols. This boxed example came with its original paperwork including an unsent Warranty Card and receipt for 2004. The pistol appears to be unfired and joins another mint boxed 'Brummie' (2002)Tempest in .177 Cal.

I now have a total of four Tempests with two being new Turkish examples in both calibres and and these two British pistols.

There seems to quite a few of these later boxed Tempests in almost as new condition floating around at the moment.

Well done, it's always good to see good condition guns in original packaging.

Kind regards,

Hi Phil,

I agree that packaging and paperwork always add something special to our collections. Iv'e got some earlier Webley pellet tins in .22 but thought I would use the more contemporary, but incorrect calibre .177 tin until I come across something more appropriate.

Maybe somebody out there could help me with sourcing a black Webley Special tin in the correct .22 calibre.

Hi,

My latest Tempest now has a nice black .22 Webley Special pellet tin to complete the set thanks to Nick (Navaleye).

Thanks Nick

Hi John,

That would certainly have been a good buy three years ago as the going price for nice originally boxed 'Brummie' Tempests these days seems to be around the £120 mark.

Brian
