Hi from Bath

Hi, I used to shoot pistol with a friend on his cellar range every week about 15 years ago - had a Gamo compact, must have been one of the first.
Returned after visiting the Manor House Hotel with grandchildren - they do taster sessions, and it brought it all back.
Now have FWB65 and FWB100 for serious stuff and hw45 for fun.
Found a local target pistol and rifle club, but will be moving to near Peterborough, so will need to start searching again.
Any Bell Target near Peterborough or Spalding?

That's me.

Hello,

And welcome to the forum.

A good bell target website is >here<

It has a list of leagues, so you should find something reasonably close by.

Bell target shooting seems to be taking off at the moment, so there should be more clubs available in the future.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the welcome.
I've never been to a bell target club, but used to have a target holder for 10m targets, with a back plate with a bull sized hole in it. Behind that was a bell.
The satisfaction of ringing that bell was enormous.
So I now have an urge to at least attend a bell target club.

Bell target pistol interests me more than rifle.

My club is supposed to be starting bell target soon, so I might get to have a go.

Kind regards,

Hi Ian,

Bath is my "hometown" - can you let me know the name of the local pistol and rifle club and where it is in the city please?

BTY - has Crudgingtons finished completely - or move to a new location? I noticed they had gone form Green Street the last time I was around the top end of town.

ATB - zooma.

Hi Zooma
The local target pistol and rifle club is at Box, all the other local clubs appear to have merged into it.

Crudgingtons appears to have completely dissappeared.

A fishing and gun shop has opened in Saltford, but they struggle on the gun side.

We have now exchanged contracts and will be moving to Crowland, just beyond Peterborough next week. It's a busy time!

Thanks for the "local" info - much appreciated!

Good luck with your move - hope you can find time to join in with the 6 yard postal competition from your new garage/loft/garden/barn/kitchen.............
