Hi guys im going to do some pellet testing using my tuned Gamo Compact but want to know what is the ideal distance for testing, I have heard 6 yds is fine for testing, or is it best to test at the distance yr going to compete at, would appreciate any feedback.

What distance
Re: What distance
From practical experience, we have found that the sights are the same for both 6 Yard and 10m.
That said, errors will be amplified over a longer distance, so I would use 10m.
Kind regards,
Phil

Re: What distance
Hi Phil thanks for the helpful advice, the wind has been a nightmare to try and get an accurate reading so hopefully will try again this week ,

Re: What distance
Might be wise to run a bench rest test, just to help reduce the human error element.

Phil

Re: What distance
Thanks Phil will do a bench rest test so I can get it as accurate as possible, then at least when I know the pellets are shooting where they should then I know it will be down to human error then.
