A place for anything general gun related, if there isn't already an appropriate sub forum.

Sad news. RIP Bill Welch.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the sudden death of Bill Welch.

Bill was the man behind Bills Walther Spares, and anyone that had the pleasure of dealing with him will have benefitted from the huge experience he had to offer as a Walther trained technician and a former member of the long gone Accuracey International company that imported and supplied Walther rifles and pistols in the 1970's.

I always found Bills helpful and friendly manner to be as big an asset as his incredible Walther knowledge and stock of Walther spares, and he will be sadly missed.

Bill Welch sufferred a massive stroke early last Friday morning, and sadly passed away last Friday evening.

RIP Bill Welch.

I am one of the many people who had the great fortune of having dealt with Bill in the past and he was one of life's true gentlemen. The world is that little bit poorer in Bill's passing.

That is very sad news indeed.

It's only a very short while ago I was dealing with Bill to pick up a front sight and some other bits for my LGR.

The world is indeed a much safer place without him.

Kind regards,

Phil

Sad news, I had come across him whilst researching the LP201. My thoughts are with his family.

I got an email from his son today, so I passed on my sympathies.

I also added that I hoped he could carry on a superb and valuable service.

Kind regards,

Phil
