Police Commissioner elections

Interesting to note the political allegiance of the candidates who have said   that they wont support the ownership and use firearms.

I have not had a single leaflet, or seen an address, from any of the perspective members in my area, so haven't bothered voting.

I just think it's another opportunity for government to interfere with local issues.

Kind regards,

Phil

My personal suspicion is that it is a way for the government to 'distance' itself from responsibility for policing

Dont think the policing is up to much in the area?

Better blame the chap that you voted in then!

Since when has a government wanted to actually 'govern' the country?

When this bunch of miscreants came to power all I heard was how we should be doing things for ourselves. Begs the question 'what the heck are we paying you for then?'

The Commisioners job as I read it is just a budget holder.

I don't vote in local, national or silly little commisioner elections.

Politics in this country needs a serious overhaul, which will never happen.... unless there is something in it for them.

Well I cast my vote yesterday at 9-15 am. Must have been a really good turnout because my wife and took the attendance at that time into double figures.
