gamo compact trigger mod

Post by kj68 » Thu Mar 20, 2014 11:54 am

Hi I was just wondering if any of the guys have done some work on the trigger of a gamo compact, I have acquired one that needs some tlc from a mate. Is it easy to strip the trigger and take off the rough edges so it feels better.

The compact is easy to strip down and tune.

The trigger lever and sear are made up of laminated strips. A Dremil, or alternative, can be used to smooth the edges, then some wet and dry, or a polishing mop, to smooth it to a shine.

You'll need to obtain a longer screw for the trigger. Once obtained cock the trigger mechanism, by opening the top until it clicks, turn the trigger screw until it fires, then back it off an eighth of a turn.

Kind regards,
