Re: Airsporter Mk 1
Thanks Mark, Mine has the bolt securing the action and no provision for a cap. The stock is definately one piece and unstamped. The blueing is almost perfect for a used gun, just the odd small scratch, and a very small patch is worn off the barrel, I suspect from the previous owner using a sling. T...

Re: Airsporter Mk 1
Thanks mrto So definately a Mk 1, '56 to '58. The stock is definately a one piece, does that indicate it was early? The sights are adjustable elevation on a tubular base with a lock wheel, and it has the auto opening breach which I gather from some other sources that not all had? Its not mint altho...

Re: Airsporter Mk 1
Sorry to jump in, but its reminded me that I have a .22 BSA Airsporter bought second hand in 1972 that I had almost forgotten about, tucked away in my security. Its my only non target rifle, used very rarely , probably only two or three times in the last 40 years. Its in nice original condition blu...

Re: For fans of the Crosman 150 and it's variants...
Thanks for the post. The CR 150 is one of my favourite Co2 pistols, I have several including a boxed early 1st series, an unboxed 2nd series, a cased Medalist and the .177 CR 157 variant. In time I intend to add others and in particular the Ted Williams variant. These are great pistols to shoot accura...

Re: crossman 2240
Whether those scores are regularly repeatable or not the 2240 IMO is the best value new pistol on the market by a mile and those scores highlight its potential. The only euivalent to it,but nowhere near as versatile from a customising perspective is the Sheridan EB22.It surprises me that another com...

Re: Co2 Match Pistols For Plinking Question.
You could add the FWB Model 2 through Model C25 to your list of potential candidates for high accuracy plinkers that can be adjusted for a little extra "oomph". I have been using an FWB C10, that I have upgraded to C20 specs for shooting Field Target at our local club. The targets range from a mini...

Re: Co2 Match Pistols For Plinking Question.
Having given this another coat of thinking, what about the ROHM Twinmasters with the CO2 converter? The Field Target Pistol brigade are using these because high power levels are easily achievable. Thanks for your help and suggestions,I have actually been considering The Rohm and largely because as ...

Re: Best classic
To choose I guess has a lot to do with when you were born.My first experience with an air pistol as far as I can remember back in the mid 60's was with the above mentioned Gats. The classic I would choose though, and probably because it was the first brand new air pistol that I ever bought would be ...

Co2 Match Pistols For Plinking Question.
I have a couple of TAU7 pistols one in .177 and one in .22.Both pistols can be adjusted to 5 plus ftlbs and this I find very useful for 25 yard plinking.I am a plinker and not a competetive 10m match pistol shooter. I do however really like Co2 match pistols and would like to aquire a few more, but o...

Re: Walther LP53
Hi Mark. We are working on getting the exact same grade of steel (or better) and working out the tempering process used at the time and again looking to match or better it to give the same amount of "spring" so it engages and holds the selected position under the horizontal adjuster screw on the in...

Re:
I am planning to make a small run of the LP53 spring steel rear sight base/holder. I have to cost it all out to see what the price will be - but if there is any interest, please let me know as the more I can cut/shape/temper and black at a time, the more it will reduce the cost of them. The smalle...

Re: Hello and 78G questions
Hi all, Glad I found this useful site! I've just purchased a Smith and Wesson 78G. It is a later model with the non-adjustable trigger and the cocking knob only has one power setting, unlike the earlier version. I didn't realise the later ones lacked the 2 settings on the cocking knob and for some ...
