It's very good stuff indeed.
The only other one I use is Birchwood Casey gun blue cream - seems to work better than their liquids

People really are daft not to listen sometimes. It's fairly obvious it'll do the gun no favours. As the piston moves down the cylinder and compresses the air in front, it will build up a pressure behind the pellet and within the cylinder in front of the piston, as it tries to force the pellet up the...

Yes, It's difficult - wood will be wood. Natural Briwax does not darken the finish by too much. Might be worth just rubbing a bit of water on a discreet area. That will show the shade it will prob turn with the Briwax applied. The graining and colours shown look quite nice as is and would still look...
