Almost missed this one!The only air pistol I've seen that converted easily and 'worked' as a firearm was a Polish Lucznik. The barrel was bored out to .22-and it had been shortened.The breech was fitted with a sliding steel locking bar. A floating firing pin had been fitted to the air transfer port....

Hello Brian,that little 1930's bit about the use of a Warrior to frighten off bad chaps actually came from Popular Mechanics! It isn't from a NZ paper. I've an ABAS with aluminium grips.Wonder who made them?Trevor

I think Dr Cook(USA)in 1912 came up with the idea that a LJ-style rifle fitted with a servo trigger would enable the maker to put a VERY stiff spring in the gun.??????
