Re: Webley Box
Hello, From the pictures it appears you have made an excellent job of the reproduction Webley Senior box. Although I obviously prefer originally boxed pistols, I have no problem with using reproduction boxes for those bought without boxes. I would much rather store them in cardboard boxes instead o...

Re: First Post - My Webley Air Pistol Collection (so far)
Hi Phil! Hamish here from Alberta, Canada. A very nice starter collection (OK -I'm already envious :) ). Although I've messed with Webley air pistols for more years than I care to think about any more (and at one time or another have had pass through my hands all you show in your collection, plus a ...

Re: Restoration Project
Hi!
Try this most obliging gentleman: Ron Young at [email protected] I bought an Acvoke trigger from him fairly recently. He's in New Zealand and mailed it to me in Canada without a problem. The postage cost more than the very reasonably priced part.
Cheers! Hamish.

1949 Webley Air Pistol Component Parts & Price List
The early post WWII Senior I acquired a while back came with a very oil soaked priced parts list. I've spent waaay too much time on Photoshop trying to clean it up, page by page and have attached a "before" of the page showing the date. 1m.jpg I do have the complete brochure scanned if anyone would ...

Re: Hello from Alberta, Canada
Sorry for the late reply, but "PB" in this case stands for "powder burner" (AKA real firearms) although I'd be lost without my tub of peanut buttergab wrote:Hello Hamish,
What does "PB" stand for? In my house it is short for peanut butter.

Re: Hello from Alberta, Canada
Hi Hamish...welcome from one recent 'new' member to another. Yes, very fond of Webleys and I've got a few although I don't shoot that well with the pistols, but I've a nice Mk111 air rifle which is accurate and powerful. Air gun shooting in the 50s...I just missed out on that, but it must have been...

Re: Junior (mk1) questions
As far as power goes, the Junior is not the greatest - I never managed to penetrate a pop can with mine at 20 feet or so. Idle curiosity - is the barrel on your Mk I rifled? I've had several Juniors over the years but only one, sent from New Zealand, had a rifled barrel. Accuracy night be suspect if...

That was an expensive on - see how they went up in price.

Re: Nice early post war Senior
Good idea about the felt Brian. I'll try and find some at our local hobby store. I don't think the batch no. is of the type you describe - they are in fact quite "mis-aligned". I'll post a couple pictures ASAP. I found your comments on the white paint quite interesting. Mine has quite clear white pa...

Re: Nice early post war Senior
Thanks for your comments John. Boxes are as scarce as hen's teeth on this side of the pond - I've only seen 2 boxes ever - one was a new one I had sent from England in the early 1960s. I've looked at every one I could find on the 'net and one difference I noticed was that mine does not have "Made in...

Re: Nice early post war Senior
So, I'm pecking away at my repro box. The original labels are quite useable though I've made a copy or two, cleaned up in Photoshop. Not quite sure whether I should use the originals or my repros. Suggestions welcome of course. I do have a question which I'm hoping someone can answer: There is a lit...

Nice early post war Senior
DSCF2364.JPG I just lucked onto a beautiful post - WWII Senior, with both the .177 and the .22 barrels. The batch number is 43, which suggests early production. The breech end has "NOT TO BE REMOVED" DSCF2370.JPG which suggests that some parts left over from pre-war production were being used up to...

Hello from Alberta, Canada
A quick "Hello" and intro. My thing is Webley air pistols, on which I have spent waaaay too much money, but also have a Harrington GAT for nostalgia sake. Most of my shooting is pest control using a Daisy 853C which doubles as a practice rifle for my army cadet grandson (the 853C is the official rif...

Re: WEBLEY'S
Just for interest, the "Junior - series 2" are usually encountered with smooth bore barrels. It seems that New Zealand airgunners preferred the improved accuracy provided by a rifled barrel and most of this model were supplied to New Zealand dealers with the rifled barrel. "Trade Me", a New Zealand ...
