Re: DRULOV DU10 / ZAVASTA GP45
I had one of these - Drulov - when they first appeared, around a dozen or so years ago if I remember right. A nice pistol and a pleasure to shoot..….I'm not sure where the 'horror' stories came from, although some of the instructions in the booklet were not right! Did not make full use of it for a l...

Re: Scores Updated
Hi Phil......shame that some have fallen by the wayside but inevitable as people have busy lives.....us that are retired have a bit more time on our hands but not all are so fortunate. Your proposal for updating the scores seems the best solution in the circumstances and will hopefully keep people o...

Re: Bell Target Crisis
Hi Bellringer Thanks for the info...I'd be interested in keeping an eye on what's (still) going on in your part of the world as time goes on. More generally I'm intrigued as to just how much air gun 'activity' there is these days compared with (say) the immediate WW2 period when much of the organise...

Hi
Great stuff....well done to Steven....who may be tempted to take part in postal comps on this site. Looks like me sliding further down the rankings if he does!

Re: Bell Target Crisis
Hi Good luck with this...I know there's a rich history of bell target shooting in Wolverhampton and it would be a pity to see it hit the buffers for want of new members. I've not long moved down to South Devon from Halesowen...that may have made me a 'possible' if I still lived up there! I'm a regul...

Re: Hello from South Devon
Hi Zooma Thanks for your comments. Yep, lovely part of the world although here in Torbay we are out on a limb a bit from the shooting point of view. Have read some 'historic' stuff re the club at Exmouth....and I get the impression that there is still some organised air gun shooting there but would ...

Re: Hello from Dover
Hi Welcome to another new recruit to this excellent 'club' ...I (only) joined a couple of months back - see my 'Intro' of 21 July - and, like you, I'm taking my first steps with 6m postal comp. My first three months 'catch-up' scores have been very modest but I'm (reasonably!) confident that my effo...

Re: Mk3 webley
Wow....really fantastic to learn such detail about the working practises at Webley. And much of this just a stone's throw - over the road - from the Hawthorns! Great stuff.Thanks.

Re: Mk3 webley
Hi Webley Mk 111 produced 1946 to '75....one of the truly 'great' post war British air rifles. I had the VERY good fortune to buy one in .22 from a shooting shop in Kidderminster as recently as 2009 for £50 which was an absolute steal at that price as they are now going for around £200. Mine has a s...

Re: semi-auto CO2 pistols.
Hi I've got a DRULOV Condor DU10 pistol - .177 - which fires five rounds 'semi-auto'. Bought it when they first came out - have the original receipt - about a dozen or so years ago and it's very nice. But, I've never put as much as a tin of pellets through it and I've now moved on(!) to springers an...

Re: A decent rifle ?
Hi Ditto comments re Weihrauch about which I've never heard a bad word. HW 77 maybe....or HW 57 which is lighter. I'm looking for either at the moment - used - and can be got in your budget, probably with a scope. Both of these are underlevers which is recommended for 'springers' ie fixed barrel rec...

WEBLEY AIR PISTOLS BOOK
Hi
Have just spotted that the Webley air pistol 'bible' - "Webley Air Pistols - Their History & Development" by Gordon Bruce - is currently on sale with Amazon for £24.62 including postage. I think that's the cheapest I've ever seen it, and I couldn't order one quick enough at that price!

Re: New Air Gun Collectors Magazine
Hi
Thanks for this link. Looks a 'good read', the downside of which is that it will (probably) do more to fuel my collecting habit(s) so I'll not let my wife know I'm looking at this for the time being!

Re: Turkish Tempest v British Tempest
Great stuff guys...and it must be really good to get the chance to shoot in the company of like minded individuals. Clearly an interesting session...and some useful info for us Webley fans to reflect on. Would like to hear more on this in due course. .
