Does anyone out there have a 19th century Pope air pistol with a serial number stamped on the left side of the frame above the grip. Please, I would really like to hear from you.

Pope Air Pistol Research
Conducting some research on the Pope Rifle Air Pistol made in the 1870's. Would like to hear from any collectors who have Pope air pistols with Serial Numbers. Trying to see if there is any correlation between the markings on the end cap and the serial numbers. Please provide me via pm or email with...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
I would recommend using round ball shot as I've heard that regular pellets jam up the loading mechanism. None of my boxed repeaters came with any pellet containers. The instructions in the box lid reference loading 15 pellets for .22 cal. and 20 pellets for .177 cal. The picture in the lid actually ...

Re: Early Air Rifle Shot, Slugs & Darts
Hello Brian, The Crosman and Benjamin containers are plentiful over here. You mention the Schimel which I assume is the yellow & silver tube of 50 .22 cal. precision Ball Shot. This is the container that is shown on some Schimel ads. Some ads reference another container the Schimel .22 cal. pellet, ...

Re: Early Air Rifle Shot, Slugs & Darts
Brian, Excellent examples, I really like the Globe slug tin. I can get the Improved Bulldog and John Bull pellets over here but any tins are few and far between. Please keep me in mind if you have any duplicates you are willing to part with. Anything in the American line you might be looking for. Th...

Re: Early Air Rifle Shot, Slugs & Darts
Appreciate the post Phil. I've noted that there a number of beautiful British pellet tins and boxes with excellent graphics. I would love to add a box of Lane's Tempered darts, Lane's Torpedo darts and Lane's Patent Shot cartridges to my collection. Besides maker Frank Clarke and Lane's, are there a...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
Dreams...don't underestimate them. Years ago my Dad and I were driving to an airgun show in Baldwinsville NY. I pulled out a copy of Quackenbush Guns by John GROENEWOLD and it opened to the page showing the Excelsior air rifle. I told Dad, wouldn't it be great if we found an Excelsior. We did not ha...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
I am sure there is someone who has more Haenels, I believe that I have owned 84 Haenel air pistols in my lifetime. As for being a "rookie", even after 50 years of collecting, I am still learning and can't wait to find that next treasure. I have tried to limit myself to Haenels, Tell 3's and the earl...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
I have read about the Super but curious are their any differences besides the name and the insignia? Thanks for the pics much appreciated. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Looks like from your handle you were or are in the USAF? Did you do all your collector in the states or were you stati...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
A few photographs, not the best. Through the years I have owned a number of Haenel air pistols, though my favorites are the Haenel Super MOD 28 and the Haenel Model 50 & 51. Some of my Haenel repeaters. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m87/Bruce-Stauff/Collectibles/Haenel%20Repeaters%201b_zpsmiizp...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
The highest serial number I have seen on a Haenel repeater is #3,245 which is in my collection. Of the Haenel serial numbers that I have tracked, the Model 28R has the fewest made. Haenel Air Pistol - highest serial number #9,680 Haenel Model 26 - highest serial number #12,030 Haenel Model 28 - high...

Researching Haenel Air Pistols
Conducting some research on several of the Haenel air pistols and am hoping that some fellow collectors might be able to provide me with some information. Looking for data on the Haenel Model 100s to determine the significance of the “I” and “II” stampings on the wooden grips. Please provide me the ...

Very nice Haenel. Wondered if you could provide the serial number. Trying to find a consecutive number to one of my Haenels. Thanks
