Re: FAS 604 for Sale on Gunstar for £125
It's been broken across the back of the top strap, although repaired I would want to check this out very carefully.

Wow just completely bowled over by that. Beautiful colour case hardening on it. Fantastic example of a fine old gun. Thanks for sharing Graham.

Re: FAS604 Spare parts
Hi, I'd avoid the salmon coloured seals, which are silicone based, they've not been too durable in my older 604. You could buy ten of each size in Shore 70 that would see you through the life of the pistol. Here you go: FAS 604 O-rings, all NBR 70 shore A Valve inner seal 4mm i/d x 2mm Valve outer s...

Re: Im Happy FAS604
Hi kj68, that's one of the later ones, just like one I've got that was one of the last ones to be bought in the UK. The grips are very full and comfortable for shooters with medium sized hands. Shoots as well as my LP10. Mine's definitely a keeper right now. I'll get some photos up later. Cheers, Mick

Thanks Nick, I'll be sorting this when I get back from holidays and what you've suggested is my preferred method.

Re: FAS 6004 - arrival imminent.
I see that they've used the pressed steel rear sight blade on the 6004 then. Some interesting mechanics going on with that, you are wise to have mechanical sympathy with it. If you get a chance to have a look at a few other 604's or 6004's even, see if the sight blade has impacted on the rear of the...

Yes, I'd wondered about helicoiling it. I'll look into this and see what's available.

Re: FAS 6004 - arrival imminent.
Hi lads, the original FAS 604 elevation screw is 3mm fine, I know this because the billet aluminium thread has been stripped on one of my 604's. I'm planning to re-tap this to either 3.5mm or 4mm fine and make a new screw. If the 6004 is only 2mm thread then this could be tapped out to 3mm and take ...

Re: My first Air Rifle
Hmmm, so I'm going to have to find a Relum Tornado in .177 to relive my first experiences. Need to source a Webley Premier to go with that to do the job properly.

Re: The FAS 6004 - no, not a spelling mistake
It's not great value if the BAR price is correct. £60 difference seems a bit much. I didn't realise that the 604 sold for £600. It remains to be seen if machine built 6004 turns out to be as well put together as hand made 604. I'll definitely be having a trip down to Blackpool to decide if I need o...
