Re: Weihrauch 45
I am surprised that no one has replied to this post yet....so here goes. The "guide tube" is in fact a piston weight and is placed inside the piston to improve the power ( and the recoil). The 45 will be more pleasant to shoot if you place the weight at the rear of the mainspring and will,to some ex...

Re: An interesting anomaly - a smoothbore Crosman 150.

I believe this is caused by loose tolerances at manufacture and therefore the rifling 'button' has not touched the walls of the bore. Sloppy q.c. at Crosman du...

Re: Benjamin 422 Semi-Auto Co2 Pistol
Hi Patrick, From memory the super rocket has a soldered in valve unit ( same as my Benjy 352 ), and was a beggar for a slow leak. The problem was a worn valve seat.....that is the brass seat that the polyurethane valve seal sits upon ...and because the valve body is soldered into the tube it was all...

Re: Benjamin 422 Semi-Auto Co2 Pistol
Hello Brian, Yes, you could be right regarding the single handed shooting stance. I only ever shoot handguns using the two handed 'Weaver' stance, ( coming from practical pistol background), which does ,as you say, put the pistol closer to the shooter's face. Also, there may have been some wear evid...

Re-enlisting.
Hello folks,
My name is Pete Pritchard and I have recently rejoined this forum. I am known to some of you from the other airgun forums as 'flatrajectory' or ' the sage 49'.
I am 66 years old and a retired R.A.C. Patrol.
I will no doubt see some of you at Melbourne in just over a weeks time.
Pete.

Re: Benjamin 422 Semi-Auto Co2 Pistol
I regret selling mine, a lovey thing it was. I found that Eley Wasps functioned flawlessly in it too, at least until the O rings wore out ( well it was 40 odd years old ). I managed to find a good replacement set of O rings for it ,in viton, and normal service was resumed. The method of using O ring...
