An unusual Webley Mark I
This rather unusual Webley Mark I came my way not too long ago. My research has proved it to be something of an anomaly, and I am hoping that some of the other vintage Webley enthusiasts may be of assistance in nailing down exactly what it is I have here. All of the frame markings seem to point to i...

Re: Seeking scans of an airgun magazine article.
I have received the requested scans from John Atkins - thank you very much to John for sending the scans, and as well, to whomever passed the request along.

Seeking scans of an airgun magazine article.
I am seeking scans of an article that examined the different variations of the Acvoke pistol.
The article was by John Atkins, and reportedly appeared in the Air Gunner Annual, 1992.
If anyone could provide me some high resolution scans of this article, it would be most appreciated.

It was my understanding that Parker Hale.....
Was the primary supplier of all versions of the peep sights used on the BSA air rifles, or am I in error on that?
Was the Model 12 sight made in house at BSA?
The sight is not marked "Parker Hale", but the range markings do bear a resemblance to those on PH sights.

An airgun geezer, a 1910 Beezer, and a 55 yard target.
The other day, just for giggles, I thought that I would try shooting my 1910 BSA Improved model D at 55 yards to see what it (and I) were capable of. This Model D has the Model 12 peep sight set right into the trigger block from the factory, so it seemed this would be the best equipped gun to try at...

Incompetent airgunsmith + bad advice = one dead airgun.
I received what appeared to be an absolutely pristine Giss action match rifle for repair, that has sadly, turned out to be a very attractive wall hanger. The truly frustrating part of the whole thing is that it was wholly the result of negligence, coupled with some very bad advice, that resulted in ...

Re: A very unusual, modified vintage BSA.
.... there is a clear reference to France in one of the pictures, is this with reference to a patent? The Bolt in front of the trigger guards looks an awful lot newer than the others. Have you checked the thread sizes? The reference to France is part of the original electro-etched model and patent ...

A very unusual, modified vintage BSA.
I had the opportunity to examine this particularly interesting old BSA over the weekend. Permission was obtained from the owner to post the following pictures of the gun in an effort to perhaps glean some information with regard to who may have built it, or if there are any others like it out there....

Restoring a Vintage Cardboard Airgun Box
This is how I went about restoring the lower tray of the box for a vintage Sears Ted Williams Match Pistol. The lower part of the box was heavily water damaged with muddy or rusty water, and then subsequently generously covered in green duct tape, to hold the failing box together. The duct tape was ...

Pre War Webley Mark I Box Repair
A while back, I was sent a boxed pre-war Webley Mark I, for the purpose of rebuilding the gun and to repair the box as best possible. Permission from the owner was received to post the box repair. The lower tray was in pretty good shape, and only required gluing and reinforcing of the corner seams, ...

Re: Air Match CU650 Olympic
Phil - these Air Match guns are not terribly common here either. I have only seen a couple others in 30 plus years. Russell - thanks for the input and additional info. I did note that flimsy little flap to open the valve - definitely a weak point in the design. I suspected that the 350 FPS velocity ...

Air Match CU650 Olympic
Air Match CU650 Olympic - That is the description given by John Walter in his 3rd edition of The Airgun Book for the cased version of the Air Match CU600 pistol. The description is given as "This is a CU600 supplied in an elegant foam lined case complete with extension sight, muzzle weight and some ...

Re: Co2 'O' rings
The best grade and material for the o-rings to re-seal a CO2 gun is 90 durometer urethane.
