Yet another innovative way to salvage these wonderful old Walthers and keep 'em shooting for decades to come.
Very nicely done.

Re: The Walther LP2 and LP3 pistols
I had explored the possibility of just cutting o-ring grooves in the LP3 pistons, but the pistons would have to have some major modification to use the o-rings - which is why I opted for the Diana 24 piston seal, which just required minimal modification to the piston. If you cut the o-ring grooves f...

Re: The Walther LP2 and LP3 pistols
This is how I go about resealing the LP2 pistons, which had the seal molded into the piston head. The old seal is machined out of the piston, and then a new seal is made up from 90 DU urethane, and fastened to the piston. Works great. http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/G-380/CAPA%20Pics/LP2pis...

Re: The Walther LP2 and LP3 pistols
Before you do any alterations to that piston, check the JKI website - they have reproduction seals to fit those pistons, at a decent price. I have used them on LP3s that I have repaired and they fit and work as well as the OEM seals. Prior to my learning of these reproductions from JKI, I used to ma...

The 1st variant of the 1st Webley rifle - the "Holy Grail".
Yes indeed, the very earliest variant with the trigger adjusting screw located at the front of the trigger block - the "Holy Grail" of Webley collectors. http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/G-380/CAPA%20Pics/EarlyWebleyMkIRifle.jpg I was fortunate enough to have been able to add this gun to my ...

... and FWB simply supply the correct part for the relevant serial number, ... Fixed that for you... ;) I've never been asked for serial number when ordering FWB parts, regardless of what part it may be - all they ever ask for is the FWB part #. If not already posted this should also go on BBS, I t...

FWB 300/300S fans, here is an odd observation.....
I can honestly say that I have worked on dozens, if not hundreds of the FWB sledge action rifles over the years - the model 150, the model 300, and the model 300S. I had not however, noticed the interesting detail that I did today. While I was preparing both an FWB 300T, and an FWB 300ST for rebuild...

Re: Civillian variant of the MAS 50 training pistol?
I am not too familiar with the airguns of other countries, and it may be worthwhile seeing if we can do a thread with as many examples from different countries, excluding UK, as possible. That could make for a very lengthy thread..... 8-) Perhaps a few threads using country of origin as the definin...

Re: Civillian variant of the MAS 50 training pistol?
a total of only 5000 pistols were produced between 1950 & 1959 with presumably very few making it to the civilian market. I have seen some discrepancy in the number of the guns produced, ranging from 3000 in total, as noted on this website: http://www.tircollection.com/t7116-mac-50-d-entrainement" ...

Civillian variant of the MAS 50 training pistol?
I managed to find this interesting variant of the French MAS 50 training pistol several years ago, and despite my best efforts thus far, have still not found another like it. Most published information that I had found to date offers the same description, in particular the details regarding the mark...

Re: Old leather seal help please
I just rebuilt a Haenel Model I DRP a few months ago, and was quite surprised at the condition of the leather piston seal - very well preserved, and pliable. The whole gun was given a proper cleaning, and the leather treated with pure silicone oil prior to re-assembly with fresh lubes. Even the leat...

Re: Best of Collection
Easy to see why that one is your favorite.
Early cased specimens like yours are virtually impossible to find over here. I've only ever seen one, at least 20 years ago, and the owner could not be persuaded to part with it for any amount.

Re: Webley Targets
I'd be inclined to place that as being a fairly recent target, based on the variant of the Webley emblem. That skinny looking, winged waisted pellet would coincide with the Turkish produced "Webleys". Well - I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that, but clearly had my logos mixed up royal...

A few Webley Juniors ....
My modest collection of Webley Junior pistols. Still seeking one or two sub-variants, but a reasonably well represented group. I'd be most interested to learn a bit more about the provenance of this pre-war wood gripped Junior. Back when I purchased it, upon my arrival home, I began pulling out my r...

Re: A few customized Crosman 150s...
*** An update *** - I received the most pleasant surprise this morning, in the form of an e-mail from the gentleman that designed and produced the Cutters breeches, and he told me that this left handed bolt version is one of only two that were ever made, and that he has the other one. In all, four ...
