Re: Early Air Rifle Shot, Slugs & Darts
Hi Bruce, I'm not really a pellet tin collector, but do have a nice selection of early Webley tins and packaging as Webley air pistols and rifles form the main theme of my collection. I will have a look through what I have though and let you know if there might be anything of interest. I also have f...

Re: Early Air Rifle Shot, Slugs & Darts
Hi Bruce, The top two British tins pictured below date from 1907 and are among the many brands supplied during that period when air guns were first becoming popular in this country. The lower, paper packaging is much later, but still pre-WW2 and remains my favourite for its bright and colourful appe...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
A few photographs, not the best. Through the years I have owned a number of Haenel air pistols, though my favorites are the Haenel Super MOD 28 and the Haenel Model 50 & 51. Some of my Haenel repeaters. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m87/Bruce-Stauff/Collectibles/Haenel%20Repeaters%201b_zpsmiiz...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
The highest serial number I have seen on a Haenel repeater is #3,245 which is in my collection. Of the Haenel serial numbers that I have tracked, the Model 28R has the fewest made. Haenel Air Pistol - highest serial number #9,680 Haenel Model 26 - highest serial number #12,030 Haenel Model 28 - hig...

Re: Highest serial number on a Haenel 28R seen?
Trying to estimate how many Haenel 28R repeaters were made. I just bought one with a serial number in the 2500s. Saw a 2700 on the web? Anyone know of a higher number? Hi, Although not nearly as common as the Haenal 28, I have seen a few of these interesting pistols in my travels. According to The ...

Re: wishlists : pistols we are looking for or aspire to own
Hi Jeff, I innocently thought that once I had good examples of all of the Webley models I would not need to carry on searching and chasing more classic air pistols. WRONG ! Next came other early British spring air pistols, some contemporary with the Webley and some not. Finally, there remained four m...

Re: A wee Webley gets some TLC......
Hi Leonard, Another example of a sympathetically restored air pistol being given a new lease of life. I have never been a big fan of refinishing the rarer air guns providing they are in better than relic condition, but with the Webley Premier I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be returned to as...

Re: This Crosman 137 was just moments away from the dumpster
Hi Leonard, Well done for restoring the Crosman 137 to working order when many would have just given up and used it for spares or scrapped it altogether. I bought the .22 version a while ago with the accompanying paperwork identifying it as having been made in 1966 at Crosmans Canadian factory. Iv'e...

Re: MK2 Target Grip Sizing
Brian, can't thank you enough for your assistance. I was able to swap out the rear nut and bolt and replace with original retaining washer and screw successfully. I've got another rear sight blade on order to replace this one. Yes I'm very disappointed in the grip situation, thought I had a winner....

Tell 3 Air Pistol.
Hello, An admittedly nice, boxed pre-war Tell 3 air pistol just sold for £2,800 hammer, so a total of £3,640 with costs at Holts London Auction. WOW ! Re: Acvoke
I have just procured an Acvoke and note references to serial numbers in other postings on the fora. I cannot find any serial number on the gun I have. Can anyone advise where I should be looking? The Gun has the 1947 marked on the inside of the grips (along with an L and R). On the rear is the make...

Re: Smith & Wesson 78G Pistol
Very nice pistol! I know where I can get my hands on one, should do? Hello, Don't hesitate and grab one if you still have the opportunity to do so. Iv'e owned the 78G for a few months now and it has fully lived up to my earlier impressions. A very nice handling and accurate pistol which would have ...

Re: Indian Copy of the Webley Senior
Cheers Brian, I've been interested in these great pistols for some time now but had no idea they were copied in other countries. Makes sense when you think about it. I'll take a look at some of the companies you mentioned. All the best. Nick H Hi Nick, You can see pictures of all these Webley Senio...

Re: Indian Copy of the Webley Senior
Hi, This is my first post so hello. Did anyone else know that An Indian Company called IWS make a copy of the Webley Senior? I stumbled across the below link. Looks rough around the edges but imitation is the highest form of flattery. Take a look. http://www.thegungeek.com/SGP/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=...

Re: MK2 Target Grip Sizing
Hi, So you have what is termed a standard Mk2 Target with a slightly different head to the trigger adjuster and a pin rather than a small screw to hold the barrel latch in place. The rear sight is as you suspected a replacement and should look like the one in the picture below. Hopefully the one you...
