Spent some "me" time this afternoon shooting one of the competitions and practicing for a rapid fire comp I am going to enter. I was using my Drulov Condor. I know this is a Marmite gun but I get on fine with mine, we have an understanding  It was developed as a Fast Fire trainer and as a stan...

To be honest, if full bore pistol was reintroduced, I am not sure if I'd bother again. All seems too much hassle, especially with the commonality of CO2 and PCP. Kind regards, Phil To be honest Phil, I am not sure I would want to buy the quantities of ammunition. I am shooting the equivalent of 150...

Besides air pistol I shoot rim-fire rifle which, after shooting 50 to 100 rounds, caused discomfort in my shoulder. It seems to be more noticeable just after shooting. to overcome this I have bought a D30 recoil pad for my shoulder and it works well. Finally when shooting pistol i find that the c...

I do know the PDF is not the whole book and it is on my "birthday Wish List". Terrific story though and as I said earlier, some of the Politic is as pertinent today as it was back then. I was in a bit of an informal competition just last week and I was doing great until someone reminded me it was my...

Ring my Bell
I was reading with interest the Bell Target shooting thread, and followed the link to belltarget.com andspecifically this page here: http://www.belltarget.com/history.php I downloaded the pdf of the book by Frank Spittle and I suggest that it is compulsory reading for any shooter. The words in "Ring...

Spotting Scope
Last time I was at the club I saw a couple of spotting scopes in use, I was really impressed with the clarity and the one Phil was using was not a lot of money. Unfortunately I did not take notes so I cant remember the make or model I assume anything that will focus down to 10 metres will work? All ...

I too suffer the same sight issues:-( One of my other hobbies introduced me to super luminova and Tritium vial technology. Working with someone else I am building a sight incorporating a Tritium vial, I bought them from this guy here on the Candlepower forums: http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showth...
I have seen a few boxes of Cat Slugs on ebay recently. Not a brand I am familiar with, but they look interesting, and I wouldn't mind a box for the collection. They are quite expensive though. Kind regards, Phil We used to buy these because i) they were cheap ii) they really did howl if you made ...
