Re: Final Round
Tonight after quite a long delay due to bad weather road works (Rawtenstall getting its first sewage system  ) I received the large, prestigious 6yd MPL trophy for 2013. It was that large it nearly didn't fit into my car! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/Airsniper/Airgun%20bits/...

Re: F.E.G. GPM 02
Once again Robin thank you for such detailed information. :D Sadly the pistol didn't come with a owners manual  but I already had the info from the link you provided. The pistol, while cased and complete with a few spares and the spanner only came with the 'tube' which allows the use of 2 x 8g ...

The biggest problem is that there is not enough elevation adjustment on the rear sight. The sights are easily stripable and I shall therefor modify them before its next outing - in June 2017. [/quote]
Sight now modified.
Thank god for Araldite!

Re: F.E.G. GPM 02
Im so please to hear that the Model 5 survived the onslaught, I mean gun smithing, of both you and John Gee Gee. I did hear a rumour that John once hurt his horse while he was shoeing it. :o :snooty: :D It fell out of the vice. I did ask him " Have you shoed a horse before? " and he replied ...

Re: F.E.G. GPM 02
Thank you for that info Robin. :D The F.E.G. is a rare beast and one of the reasons I bought it. It wont be used as my main match pistol. :snooty: While it is, shall we say, very basic and agricultural in construction (its built like a brick out house  ) I wont need to resort to big hammers...

Re: F.E.G. GPM 02
That is a nice unusual pistol to add to the huge pile of squinting air weapons that are stashed in the IJ Cave - never to see the light of day again once the brief novelty of ownership has passed away. :snooty: Tis true - but there is only so many hours in a day and only seven days in a week. ( Wel...

Re: Relum Pistol Help!
I.J. probably know more about Relums than most so, hopefully, he'll spot this and he able to some assistance. His eyes will certainly light up to see somebody else mention Relum. Kind regards, Phil I find that the best improvement for Relum pistols/rifles is to reduce the length of the barrels. :sh...

Strangely enough - mine shoots well and cycles without problems using flat headed Hobby pellets.

Re: Gerald Cardew 'Pellet spy' Chrono!
I remember Dennis Hiller having one of these chronos set up at his shop near Chorley. :D He also took it with him to arms fairs and the like, and charged a small amount to test your rifle. I well remember one young lad turning up with a rifle (Meteor?) wanting his gun to be tested and asking " Do I ...

Re: Beeman Peep sight..
Excellent sights - Ive got a couple. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/Airsniper/Airgun%20bits/peep2.jpg I have seen them with 'Williams' or 'Beeman' markings and with screw driver adjustment or knurled knobs. Ive got one on a HW77 which has a HW interchangeable foresight unit on. http://img.ph...

Re: HW35 Venom from 1970..
Nice. :D And far better than the HW90. The combination of Export stock and shorter, more practical 19" is ideal to me. The 22" barrel was just a bit gimmicky. Is that a Weaver scope on there? Good, period steel bodied scopes. Ive had a few but the low magnification (1.5x, 3x etc) weren't good...

Re: Spotting Scope
I have an Aldi spotting scope and the club has 6+ which we have been using without fault for the past 12 months. Great value for money
