Earliest Known Walther LP53 Air Pistol.
Update: 08-Nov-2014 I thought that an update to this thread was in order, because an earlier LP53 has come to my attention. The current earliest known LP53 is now SN 001274, and pics of it can be seen here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/681456/message/1415469371/Earliest+known+LP53" onclick="window...

I would be interested to see some pictures of shortened ones - not sure how well they would handle though as I find the standard 78 so well balanced . TMK, Lawry A. has what is probably the very nicest of the shortened S&W 7x pistols. You will have to have him show it to you on your next visit. Tel...

I have long been fascinated by the LP53, and have spent a good deal of time researching this one pistol, and have managed to collect six distinct variations on the gun, including what I believe to be the earliest know...

The Mark I & Mark II are among my (many) favourites. I have a few very nice, boxed specimens, and as well, a few that were purchased as "beaters" and transformed into some very nice modified guns, such as my modded Mark II PFT rig, which has performed quite admirably for me at the local PFT matches....

Hello from Ontario, Canada.
Found your forum whilst doing one of my periodic searches on "Walther LP53", and liked what I saw. I even see some familiar names here. I have been shooting and repairing airguns for over 40 years, and collecting for almost as long. I have been a long time poster on the American Vintage Airgun Forum...
