Target Gun magazine March 1982 - Walther CP1 review
Target Gun Magazine March 1982 review of the Walther CP1 (actually they test a CP not a CP1 but that's another story). Walther CP1 seal replacement
Due to the age of the seals on the Walther CP series pistols it's not uncommon to hear a slight hiss from the general direction of the end of the gas cylinder. If it's not the seal in the female end of the cylinder at fault it will be the seals in the mounting / valve assembly. A recent acquisition ...

Re: Target shooting near Northampton
One of my clubs charges £150 annual membership but there's no range fees (I'm not sure about a joining fee). For that though there's all day shooting on Saturday & Sunday plus a day in the week (other days are possible by arrangement) - on two 100 yard ranges, a 300 yard range & a 400 to 1000 yard r...

Walther CP1 to 3 Co2 cylinder repair
One of my Walther Co2 cylinders leaks (the sort that fits a CP1 to CP3); after filling there's a very slow escape of gas from the cylinder valve. It became faulty quite some time ago & has remained unused ever since as I've got several more. However the faulty one is the only shorter type I have so ...

Jim
I'm from Sandbach.
I generally shoot (fullbore stuff) at Diggle & Altcar although I shot many years ago with the Hydra at Northwich.

6 yard targets
I've run out of 6 yard targets - or I should say - I can't find the ones I put away somewhere! I don't really want to buy 3000 at £145 or so from the NSRA & the few gun shops I've contacted don't have any (no surprise really). Any suggestions as where to get a some from would be welcome. Regards Rus...

Re: Air Match CU650 Olympic
Leonard, The problem with the little flap is concerned with the two lugs which are bent at 90 degrees, each with a hole for the rod that the flap hinges on. For the part to fit correctly there can’t be very much metal around the holes in the lug & it tends to crack at this point. The one that failed...

Re: Air Match CU650 Olympic
Phil, As you've seen there's still some about but I guess most have fallen by the wayside or got dubiously modified. One aspect of the pistol's design I should have mentioned is that the the barrel slides forward to allow loading when the side lever is pulled forward. There was absolutely no wear ap...

Re: Air Match CU650 Olympic
In it's day the Airmatch 600 / 650 were readily available in the UK. Initially supplied by a company in London (who were a bit of a shower in my experience with them) & then by Frank Kay at Framar in Blackburn who became the UK agents. The pistols were pretty well advertised in the Target Gun magazi...

FWB 65 1980 Target Gun Magazine Review
Here's a review of the FWB 65 from the September 1980 Target Gun magazine. The third page in particular has several examples of paw prints from a wet Springer Spaniel. I have my own (informed) views on how worried I should be about that - it's only the price that puts me off.savantguarde wrote:Interesting! But the usual question will be : how old are the cylinders?

Re: Walther LP3 Match
That’s an interesting post Robin & rekindles some memories as well. I also was a devotee of the GSP. I got mine around 1981 when I changed from a student to wage earner. I’d mentioned to the dealer who supplied it that the optional dry-fire trigger unit seemed interesting – his definition of ‘intere...
