Re: Walther LP3 Match - Target Gun magazine review
Below I've attached a review of the Walther LP3 Match taken from a 1982 Target Gun magazine. It's been interesting for me to compare the reviewers comments (Geoff Hoyle?) to my own impressions. Many aspects of the pistol are commendable but when it comes down to actual shooting the user comes across...

Re: Walther LP3 Match muzzle velocity
Phil, It's a fair point you make about muzzle blast, the Oehler seems pretty tolerant in that respect though. With a centre-fire calibre I normally set the sensors 1.5m in front of the muzzle but there's still a lot of blast hitting them at that distance from something like a 450/400 Nitro Express b...

Re: wishlists : pistols we are looking for or aspire to own
There are already a few pistols in the cupboard but two which have been on the wish list for a long time were the Walther LP3 Match & the FWB 65/80/90 series. A Walther LP3 arrived a couple of weeks ago whilst a FWB 80 is on the way so that's two of the largest boxes ticked. Following those I'd like...

Walther LP3 Match muzzle velocity
It wasn't raining today so out with the chronograph which is an Oehler 35P & my 'new' LP3 Match. This chrono has 3 detectors giving what Oehler call a proof channel, in effect it's like having 2 chronographs each checking the other. The box with the readout produces a printed readout as well as a di...

Walther LP3 Match
This is a pistol which in the days it was in production I wanted to posses but either was never able to afford or when I could afford one there were better alternatives to be had - such as the Co2 pistols of the early 1980's I finally got one & it's proving to be a lot of fun to use. It's had new se...

FWB 65/80 foresight block
Does anyone know if the clamp-on foresight blocks are available as spares from FWB for the model 65 / 80?

FWB Model 90 Target Gun magazine review
The FWB model 90 has been mentioned on the forum recently so here's a contemporary review of the FWB model 90 taken from a 1983 issue of the Target Gun magazine. Hello from Cheshire
Hello. As many of the pistols relevant to this site are ones I grew up shooting or coveting as a teenager I'm glad they are described as 'classic' & not 'vintage'! I started shooting air guns in my grandmothers orchard (pre-teens) then moved onto being a junior member of Sandbach Rifle & Pist...
