This is a very late advert for a version of the model 10 that I will bring to the club on Tuesday.
This variant has the rear site assembly set right to the back of the pistol so the classic eccentric cam has to give way to make the space for it although the two front mounting posts remain visible.
The beautifully engineered original cam has been replace by a snap on plastic shoe!
This already heavy "hand rifle" also gained an additional muzzle weight (!) on this final variant - I do have mine, but it has been removed .
................the other addition is the extra £100 on top of the retail prioce I paid for mine when they first came out!
Original Model 10 - Airgun World April 1978
I agree, its dramatic looks still rings a few bells these days - imagine what we felt like when we first saw it in the early seventies !
As soon as I heard about the new model I ordered one from what was then my closest dealer in Exeter and had to wait for it to reach the UK.
We had been used to looking at the one piece moulded handle pistols like the HW70 and Original Model 5 and Model 6 - so compared to these this was a very futuristic looking air pistol indeed.
A walnut anatomical grip included made this an outstanding new addition to the choice available to the air pistol shooters of the day.
Some forty plus years later it still looks dramatic and if I could have bought a few of them they would have been a very solid investment!
