Oh dear, .177 only effectively rules me out as I am a .22 man!

Forgive me for moving this from the sticky, I wanted that to be just for the rules.

This is a competition that has been running in the 10m format for some time now, and is an offshoot to be shot at the club or at home.

As such, it was felt that a majority of entrants would be shooters with an interest in target shooting and have predominantly .177 pistols.

Kind regards,

Phil

Yes, we should tempt Ian back from the dark side.

.177 is also better for the environment, as there is less lead!

Oops! Sorry about that!

Ah, the trials and tribulations of following the .22 path........

Shot .177 in my 10m match days of course but have to say I much prefer the larger caliber. Not sure why.

I do realise that I am in a minority though.

Thats very kind of you sir - however the postal charges for shipping one to and fro across the country might prove prohibitive!

Might have to buy a .177 Senior / Premier

At least no one will know its not a .22 unless they inspect it closely.....

As the innards are the same, can't you just pick up a barrel?

Kind regards,

It would upset me too much to take the .22 barrel off even for a short while

It's a buyers market at the moment, so I am sure something suitable will come up.

Oh, we wouldn't need to ship it back and forth to take turns, I have a couple!

I've got Tau-7's in .22 and .177, both lovely guns that shoot differently and sound different. Both nice to shoot for their own individual characteristics. I've felt the same about Webley pistols in the past but have only a .22 Tempest now. Will add an older .177 at some stage though.

If you really fancy a challenge try a Record Jumbo, a small pistol (also an overlever), but quite a handfull to shoot well. atb, M.
S.G.S Duo 300,Etc, G0JVB ex G6MUI.

Ive never had any luck finding the latter on BBS so it looks as though the pistol is the best bet
