FWB 65: Sledge Travel Distance?

I recently got an early FWB 65. When firing a shot, the upper half barely moves rearward. I would estimate it at 1-2mm; a small fraction of available travel.
Is this normal?

I have never owned one before, nor shot one, nor seen one being shot, so don't know what to expect. This could be the way it is for all I know.

If not; the important details:
-I am shooting with a very slight muzzle-down incline; not very much at all. I have shot it level, and slightly muzzle up, with little to no difference.
-I can easily move the top half back to the stop by hand after a shot.
-I've used 7.0 and 8.2 grain pellets and if the travel changes, it's very slight.
-I feel recoil. I expected some but I don't think it's that much like the CO2 or SSP pistols I've shot. But then, maybe I'm feeling it because I'm watching for it now.
-Overall exterior condition of the pistol seems excellent, and while I haven't looked inside I have no reason to expect different.

Any ideas?
All in my head?
Shoot it and shut up?

Barry,

Slightly loosen the two cross head screws under the front of the receiver.

Remove grips, and slightly loosen the two socket screws under the receiver.

Fire three or four shots, then tighten up all the screws.

This should re-align the rails.

Have fun & a good Sunday :)

Best regards

Russ
