Record Champion

Hi,
Has anyone got a source for a parts diagram or spare parts for a Record Champion?

Just got my hands on one (been looking for ages)
Unfortunately the part that the the cocking link pushes back to cycle the next pellet seems to be disconnected (or snapped) from the pellet insertor. (the white plastic pellet inserter doesn't move when you cycle the cocking arm)
I want to get a parts diagram before I open it up.

I'd love to get it working!

Thanks,

Matt.

Unfortunately it's beyond repair so I've returned it.
They are pretty rare (Record only made them for a couple of years) but I'll keep an eye out for another one.

Hi Matt,
did you ever find the diagram please? I'm about to get my hands on one of these beasties that sounds to be in much the same state as what was yours and before I turn my back on it I'd like to know a bit more. If you did find one, please would you let me know where I could find one? I've yet to hold one of these guns, so I expect any documentation to be as scarce as the spares. Until now I have amused myself with less complex things like Woblies, but I felt like having a fiddle with something else for a change.
Regards, Steve, from sunny (and flipping cool) Poole.

Hi Steve,

My advice would be: run away!
There was no diagram to be found and I returned it to the seller.
The seller runs an airgun shop that specialises in vintage air guns. He had his own champion that he thought worked ok but hadn’t fired it in a few years. When he tried his own one it too would constantly jam.

There a guy in YouTube (search record champion sir pistol) who posted a clip of him firing one. He shows how you load the magazine. He advised me to use jsb match flatheads. I sent some to the seller to try with his own one but it still jammed.

The one I returned to him was jammed in a way that you couldn’t strip it without breaking the loading probe.
If the one you’re thinking of getting is jammed I’d think twice.

Cheers,
Matt.
