I think this is the Zastava 45 a fine pistol works like the du10, but has a smaller grip, takes 8grm co2 unless you have extended piercing caps(non std), comes with less kit than the drulov, it also used to sell for as little as £100, M. :x

Not too familiar with the differences, as I haven't seen them in the flesh.

It does disturb me when the wrong information appears on Gunstar; is it ignorance, or a deliberate attempt to deceive?

Kind regards,

Phil

Deffo a Zastava, you can tell from the grip.  I owned both one of those and a DU10 at the same time. There's a thread on the UBC somewhere where I show both in the same picture and point out the differences. They are worth a little more than £100 but not £195. Quite rare these days, I paid £150 for mine.

I believe they do sell for £150, but the sportsman gun centre did sell them for £100 i was to late luckily a friend had been quicker off the mark & bought 2 then let me have 1, my point in raising this is mis information as to what gun it is, also whoever buys it wont know its 8grm co2, & the guys had a number of adverts ??, M.

I certainly think a lot of the better deals are done on the forums.

Forum guns, more usually than not, are well looked after and properly maintained.

Kind regards,

The Drulov pistol has been banned from RMTC some time ago - soon after the club was formed - and because of its potentially dangerous action it also inspired us to ban all other multi-shot pistols as well.

I had an absolutely mint and perfect example that I bought new, but as it demonstrated its bad behavior I had to sell it - with a full explanation of the problem to the eager buyer (who was not going to take it to a confined club area) and I think already knew about the Drulov problem in any case.

An innocent newcomer to our club who had not been advised to read our club rules (or to be made aware of our club rules) took a Drulov into our range, and it has been reported to me that this may have caused some concern.

This was a situation that may have put other members at risk if things had gone wrong.

You should know that if the trigger is pulled when the Drulov safety is on that it will not go off - but when the safety is later released the pistol can go off by itself!

I report this here so anybody who buys one of these lovely ( but potentially unsafe) pistols is fully aware of it's failings and to again make sure through every channel possible that everyone knows that this pistol is banned from our club (RMTC) at all times.

Ah, that would explain why it wasn't in the leatherette case or the ABS shell case.

At our club where we shoot a reasonable amount of 5 shot, we have a turning target bank and shoot both sport pistol and standard pistol events with them at 10 mts on proportional 25 mt targets, and any one going to Bisley for the British Pistol club championships on the 22/23 June will see those events shot at 25 mts with five shot air pistols (as we are not trusted with .22 RF due to Mr Blair).
We have a Drulov club gun for 5 shot and I can only agree with Bob that they can be very dangerous, we only shoot five shot in details under a RO to the same procedures we used with rim fire. Ours is locked up in a cabinet as the committee is not brave enough to chuck it in the nearby river and too ethical to sell it to some unsuspecting soul. Added to the safety operation issue is the tendency to go fully auto on a whim which can be quite amusing as long as they are under the hand of an experienced shooter. The trigger is truly awful and any attempt to refine it results in fully auto demo's as does adjustments to the velocity. Ours has not been used for a long time and that's the best way with the things. Nothing wrong with good five shots such as the Steyr or the FWB, or as a budget one, the Aeron but the Drulov is a badly made, dangerous heap and I would advise any one to steer clear of them.
