Feinwerkbau Model 40 Tricolour

Post by zooma » Wed Jan 23, 2013 3:49 pm

I am looking for a Feinwerkbau Model 40 - the Tricolour one with the laminated grip.

Due to the colours of the laminated grip and the two different coloured air cylinders supplied with the pistol, it was known as the P40 Tricolour.

Possibly due to is gaudy looks and its oversized bulk it was not very popular in the UK, and the standard walnut gripped version sold beter I understand - but I want the loud oversized gaudy one!

Does anybody have one for sale by any chance - or even one that I can photograph for bobsairguns.com ?

I think the lack of any response to this thread helps to show just how few of these (ugly?) looking and oversized match pistols were sold and exist here in the UK.

.......but one will turn up one day - so if you see one, please let me know as I want to add it to the bobsairguns.com site.

Not seen one before, so decided to do a google search.

Judging by the lack of pictures on Google, it does look a rare beast.

Very nice lines, and a quirky colour scheme make this a very good looking pistol.

I'll keep an eye open as you never knows when one will turn.

Kind regards,

Phil

Thanks Phil,

It will complete the set on bobsairguns and make an interesting reference for everyone to see in the future.

Somebody rang yesterday to ask if I had a good stock of Meisterkugeln pellets, and given a positive answer he called around today to buy a sleeve of 10 tins (plus one free - of course!).

He showed me his Feinwerkbau Model 65, and then opened a case with a............P40 Tricolour inside!!

A hasty agreement was made for me to photograph it and it can now be seen here http://bobsairguns.com/index.php?option ... Itemid=147

........only took a couple of years to get this close to one!

I would still like to get my own P40 Tricolour one day, but until the things that I have stuck in customs at Coventry are released I won't be dabbling in Germany again as it looks like I am building a small collection for Parcelforce at the moment!

Very nice.

Did he drop any hint or indication as to whether he would part with it?

Kind regards,
