Warrior and Webley Senior airpistols

Hi all, I'm new to the board and looking for some advice. In clearing our the loft, I have come across two old air pistols, which are clearly pre-war. Here are the details:

1. Warrior air pistol. Original batch, round trigger guard, .177. still works and in good shape.

2. Webley Senior. 3 pin trigger, so second pattern. Good condition. Works very well.

Both were left to me by my grandfather who died in the 70s. Do they have any value? I though I would chewck before binning them.

Some pictures would help in providing a more accurate valuation, but ball park value for a Warrior in reasonable fully functional condition would be £300-£400 (especially first series) and perhaps £150-£200 for the Senior if a post-war 'Slant Grip' example. Pre-war 'Slant Grip' Seniors command higher prices, so perhaps £200-£250. You will be able to tell the difference as pre-war Seniors had a Ser No pre-fixed by an 'S' stamped on the side of the frame and no serrations on the barrel. I would be very happy to accommodate either in my bin should you still feel that generous.

Hello,

Webley only produced around 7000 'Straight Grip' Seniors between 1930 and 1935 so yours would date to about 1933. The 'Straight Grip' Senior is the most sought after of the Seniors and should realistically fetch £300 - £350.

I would expect the Warrior to make somewhere nearer the higher end of this range and perhaps a bit more as it is a less common first series pistol.

If you should decide to sell the pistols either this forum or the BBS Collectors Forum would probably be the best option.

Thank you so much. I would prefer it if they went together as they were my grandfathers. They came within minutes of being binned. I'm happy if they end up in the hands of someone that appreciates them.
