Well my eldest is having a few problems hitting the book shelf never mind a barn door with this modern replica of a Colt SA

On a more serious note:

I seem to have a problem hitting anything some days but for some reason I find this 1998 model particularly inaccurate - not sure why - when I'm on form I can achieve good results with older Webleys. Bit of a mystery - perhaps the barrels bent!

Are you allowed to say that? Maybe it's the barrels lifestyle choice.  :P

Thats as may be but its playing havoc with my ability to remain within the inner ring

Oh dear, I appear to have lapsed into 'Carry On' mode - hopefully Matron will bring me my medication soon

I actually remember standing to one side with my hand streched out on the trigger to see if I could see where the damn pellet went when it left the barrel.

I have an RO71 which is similar,  the the grip has a squarer bottom.

Not sure which gun that actually is.

There used to be a Sheridan in a drawer at my old works.

Interesting gun, which I dry fired often, but never had a proper go with.

Kind regards,

Phil

I do like FB guns, there are quite a few models, and good condition boxed ones often come up cheap.

Kind regards,

Phil

I like the FB's too but I don't think I would use mine in a comp.

Quite right,  some guns are for shooting,  some for collecting due to their quirkiness.

Kind regards,

Phil

Hi Ian.  Strange, the .22 Tempest I just sold, which must have been a similar vintage, was easily capable of cloverleafing at six yards if I did my bit.  It seemed to like RWS Hobbies best, which seems odd for a 5.6mm barrel but maybe nobody told the pistol it was only supposed to like old Eley Wasps and Marksman! :)
