Webley Tempest outer barrel help

A place to discuss all things Webley. As this is probably the most collected airgun maker we felt it deserved a section of its own.

Webley Tempest outer barrel help

Post by kj68 » Sat Apr 12, 2014 12:00 pm

HI I have just acquired my first webley Tempest second hand and it was made in 1980, the outer barrel has a few specs of rust on it, if I use my gun oil on it will it help to remove the rust.

I first try with a rough paper towel, with a little bit of oil. Next I try tin foil, though still not pressing too hard. Lastly I use a fine wire wool, again with a little oil and still not pressing too hard.

Kind regards,

We can never ask too many questions.

The only way to keep history and tradition alive is to pass it on.

Kind regards,
