Re: New Competition
Sounds good for those who have access to a 10 mtr range, however i think many like me can only manage 6 yds, i do hope all goes well, Mike.

Re: New Competition
Rules now posted as an announcement.
We'd be happy for people to enter this at 6 yards, using the same rules and target. However, to give everybody a fair chance, we'll run separate categories If there is enough interest.

Phil

Re: New Competition
...... and we're off. First set of targets was sit tonight, by a few shooters.
It was also good to see a variety of handicaps, which will hopefully give everybody a good chance.
I'll scan some rifle targets, tomorrow, and post them with the rules. This should give anybody not wishing to go to the expense of obtaining official targets a chance.
Kind regards,
Phil

Re: New Competition
While I own several rifles, the only one suitable for such a competition is my Walther LGR. I've always liked this rifle, as it has what I would consider the traditional target rifle shape.
I have been getting lazy in my old age, and do prefer PCP, but I needed to shoot my handicap cards, so it came with me to the club tonight.
It is a very nice rifle to shoot. However loading is a pain, and the process does rapidly wears you out. I had a few sighter cards, then shot 3 handicap cards. I would have shot more, but fatigue was showing in my results, and I didn't want to artificially increase my handicap.
I'll have to stick with the Walther until something suitable comes up.
I was going to get the Air Arms S200 Target but, after managing to have a shoot with one last week, was completely put off by a terrible trigger.
As such, I am still in the look out.
Kind regards,
Phil

Re: New Competition
Hi
Come on there must be more people who want to have a go!
We have six people at the moment, if you want to do it by post because you are too far away, talk to us - anything is possible!
Maybe we could get a bit of club to club competition going?
